20.000 new hunting licenses......

the b.c. government introduced the idea to issue 20.000 more hunting licenses and encourages predominantly women and younger individuals to purchase or apply. however , the number is the big question mark here. all i can do is shake my head in disgust. 20.000 means 20.000 more guns, a lot more bullets, a target group which is questionable, at least 20.000 dead animals many more wounded ones and certainly a lot of dismembered ones. hunting,fishing and slaughtering for sport or display of strength and other purposeless reasons (to not go into vulgarities)is just another certificate of what we have become.
