a while it is ago......

...since i have posted something. still no comment has been posted, but just reading what happens everyday around the world unpublished is a good start. i have read, that 17 bears have been killed sofar this year alone by driving from vancouver to pemberton. the expansions in whistler to accomodate the olympic games are ongoing. people now complain that the bear sightings increase as the forest becomes smaller....
and big in the news: a cougar sighting on vancouver island.....one cougar on the island?....be aware! it just saddens me,to see this once vast forest covered island slide more and more into development. as for now we are still within a land of plenty, but not for long, if we continue the path we are currently on.
chinese vessels fish with dragnets and longlines before the coast of B.C.. the coast guards successfully filmed some of them and hended the information over to chinese authorities to decide about possible penalties and such.....i will be waiting and see what will actually happen. as of wednesday this week i am in proud posession of a SEA SHEPHERD sweatshirt and i will wear it as often as i can. i just hope people do not think, i am not a follower of some religious institution....but when you see a black and white sea shepherd shirt in vancouver, that will most likely be me. i encourage others to purchase one, to for first, donate that money towards campaigns against animal cruelty and second educate the society, that we should have started "yesterday".
